Who is D.R.E.A.M.?

Down syndrome Research Education Advocacy in Montana

We are a diverse group of parents in the Gallatin Valley and surrounding areas with young children with Down syndrome. Initially, we connected to celebrate the joys and concerns that come with having a child with Down syndrome. Since then we have all realized the importance of having a network of friends and resources and wanted to reach out to others who may be in our same situation. We like to meet once a month to get our kids together to play and to visit with each other about Down syndrome specific topics.

Feel free to call or email any of us with questions, concerns or just to chat. We would also love to invite you to join us at one of our “get togethers.” Just send your email to any one of us and we will let you know the time, date and location of our next meeting.

Best Wishes and Rainbows,
The D.R.E.A.M Team

Our Stories

Let's get to know one another! These are the stories from families right here in Montana.

Need financial help? Grant applications are available, including our very own D.R.E.A.M. grant.

Grants and Resources

A large portion of donations are allocated to the D.R.E.A.M. Grant fund. It is available to help Montana families pay for medical and educational related expenses. Travel expense reimbursement can be used in addtion to the grant.

The Betelsten Grant is specifically for adult education purposes. It can be used to apply for the LIFE Scholars Program.

LIFE Scholars

Peer Partners are currently enrolled MSU students who support LIFE Scholars, students with intellectual or developmental disabilities, in both academics and campus engagement. Peer Partners work together with LIFE Scholars to help them succeed in their classes, get involved in the campus community and have a successful college experience! There are currently 10 students in the program, and MSU is looking for more! You can apply the Bertelsen grant to help pay for costs associated with this program.
